SphinnCon in North Carolina - What to expect
Today it was announced that there will be a search engine conference held in North Carolina. Here are the basic details…
Event: SphinnCon North Carolina 2008
Date: May 2 from 10 AM to 10 PM.
Location: Greensboro, NC (Between Raleigh and Charlotte)
Facility: Kress Terrace (212 South Elm Street)
Host: Third Door Media (creators of Search Engine Land and Sphinn)
Cost: $150
Audience: Only 150 can attend.
What to expect:
Danny Sullivan has been running conferences for a long time now. But I doubt he’ll come to this one. This is not the typical 3–day blow-out type of search engine conference. There will be some sessions, but the real benefit will be the networking.
If you are trying to get to know the other local (North Carolina) SEM/SEO experts and those that are interested in search engines and social media, this is the place to be.
They have only held one other meeting like this and it was in Israel last year.
Right now there is no official way to sign-up that I can tell. But they do have a Facebook page you can accept an invitation on.
I’ll be there.

Last I heard, this was getting very little response. It may even be cancelled.
