Google Balloons for Internet and Mobile Phone Use
Google wants EVERYONE to have Internet access. Not surprising.
What is surprising is that they may use balloons to do so.
(You just have to watch the video below. Amazing.)

Hippo Internet Marketing will be at the Lake Norman Expo on Friday, March 7th. Below is a sneak preview of what our booth will look like.
An interesting report was mentioned in MarketingVox today on how important user reviews are to retail websites.
Almost all (98 percent) of surveyed shoppers said they read reviews prior to making a purchase.
Many (65 percent) read reviews “always” or “most of the time”.
Some (34 percent) seek out reviews on other sites such as Amazon.
Good things to think about if you sell online.
Yesterday I sold my Mac.
I bought it almost exactly five months ago on a recommendation from my brother-in-law. I don’t blame him for recommending it to me, because he loves his. But the whole situation was a bit of a nightmare for me.
One thing you have to give Apple is that they have very successfully branded themselves as a perfect solution to the problems people face with PCs. I fell for it – at first.
This post is to set the facts straight (in my opinion, as always).
Earlier today, I reported that Amazon has started “Amazon Product Ads” which allows you to effectively advertise products on Amazon.
Since then I’ve gotten in to look under the hood and poke around a little.
Here’s how it works…
If you still have not taken the time to try Twitter or don’t understand it, here’s some help…
I wrote about How to use Twitter a month and a half ago for a starting point.
But you can learn more and understand it better from this four-part series on twitter. It goes into more depth and explains more.
Once you get started, be sure to check out my twitter feed and Jason’s. Let me know if and when you have one.
I just got an email from Amazon that announces a new arrangement for listing products you sell on Amazon.
Up until now, if you wanted to have your products listed on Amazon, you would need to upload your products information. Then if someone bought something, Amazon would actually handle the financial transaction and send you the money (taking a cut along the way).
UPDATE: More info about Amazon Product Ads at this link now.
Last night the good folks at Unique Blog Designs finally put up my new blog design. I like it quite a bit.
They lived up to their name – this is one UNIQUE design!
UBD worked very carefully with me to create the look and feel I wanted. I want to give the impression that although the world of Internet Marketing can be a confusing jungle, we are here to help you through it.
The Jungle Map is our primary tool for assisting others to navigate this crazy world of Internet Marketing.
Our other tool is our Internet Marketing training classes. You will note that we have strategically encouraged our visitors to this blog to visit our training class site. Those images and links stand out more.
UBD did a great job, but I’m still working out the kinks and typos. If you spot anything that looks strange to you, please let me know. Ideally, please make a comment on our Hippo Discussion Group here.
