So I know my family is about to get somewhere around 13 inches of snow today. But the storm did hit North Carolina first. It started snowing around 7 PM last night and went into the night. When we woke up, we had about 3–4 inches.

Ok, so this post has nothing to do with Internet marketing, but we basically made huge news this morning in the Charlotte, NC area. We actually got SNOW! I hear it was a little worse to the south and east of Charlotte, but I thought I would do some live reporting from my home in Davidson, NC.
The video below shows exactly how bad it was outside my home at about 7:30 AM. I had been listening to the radio and knew it must be dangerous. All the schools in the area were cancelled.
For those of you that know me well, you know I’m a bit of a Microsoft fan. That’s something you won’t hear most people admit in public these days. But it’s true. In particular, I’ve been a big huge user of Outlook since the mid-90s.
I LOVE Microsoft Outlook. I probably spend 95% of my computer-time on MS Outlook and a web browser (FireFox these days). I use every single feature on Outlook. I also synchronize it between two computers, a laptop, and my mobile phone using Microsoft Exchange.
I also use a Zune instead of an iPod. (The only reason is because iTunes refuses to offer a subscription service.) I use it just about every day to listen to music and podcasts.
What does Matthew Lighttiser have to do with all this?
If you are like my wife and I, you occasionally want some food but don’t want to cook or even get off the sofa. We usually call the local pizza place in Swannanoa that delivers. But if you live in the Asheville area, you have more options…
