2007 : First Post of the Year

Today is the first working day of 2007.

So here are some brief comments about Hippo Internet Marketing (and myself). We’ll look backwards and forward.

The Past

I started this business when my wife and I moved to Black Mountain from Massachusetts in early 2003. Although we do have several internal projects, we have been doing Internet marketing for clients ever since. The last three years have been great. I’ve met a lot of people and helped a lot of people get more exposure to their business and websites through various means.

Clients: At this time, we are happy to be working with Volvo Construction, Chimney Rock Park, Cherokee Indians, Condar, Quality America, New World Case, Albemarle Inn, and several others.

Partners: I’ve also enjoyed partnering up with some amazing individuals and businesses such as ClickTracks and Mountain Media.

Colleagues: Of course, I’m happy and thankful to have Jason working with me and my wife Sandy helping as well. But there are several others that work with me in one way or another, such as Fiona Dudley, Darlene Moore, Ty Downing, Shannon Miller, David Lynch, and many, many more.

The Future

During 2007, some things will be changing for Hippo Internet Marketing.

Jason will be working mostly with our internal projects and not much with clients.

I’ll be working even closer with our current clients. In fact, we are planning on taking less new clients and just working harder for the ones we have.

We are rebranding our business and websites. In fact, we just finished working with our designer on our new logo. I’ll reveal it very soon. New versions of our current websites will be coming up soon.

Overall, we are making great strides toward enhancing the Internet Marketing Training side of the business, while providing a good service to our current clients and internal projects.

Personal Goals

Without getting too personal, my goal for this year is to keep work in it’s place. In other words, do good work while I’m at work. I also plan on spending more time doing volunteer work, as I have in the past.
