Hi Corey,

Your pod casts on Social Media were great.

I learned a lot from them. I have built a following on facebook of over 1025 Real Estate Professionals in Charlotte and provide information to them to help them sell new homes in Charlotte, NC. http://BuildersDirectOnline.com is my new public search engine for finding new homes in Charlotte. I learned a lot at our last meetup and did a press release yesterday. I was surprised how high the press release climbed on google.

I noticed by looking at the source code of this blog page that the link to archive.org in your previous post has a no follow tag. I'm interrested in seeing if google will view my link in this post as an external link to my site.

Thanks Cory,

I also found the "Way Back Machine" in the firefox add-on SearchStatus. This utility is built-in and one of the options available in the pull down menu. The info regarding Blogs and Forums clears things up for me. Thanks.

Nice to hear from you again. To answer your questions below, you can type into Google "Way Back Machine" and you'll get to http://www.archive.org/index.php. I think that's what you are referring to below.

Regarding the nofollow tag, remember that simply means that you will not get any Google PageRank from that link. It does not mean that people (and even search engines) will "not follow" the link. The link is fine.

Getting involved in Blogs and forums is a fine way for people to find you, just don't expect it to do much for your actual SEO. I hope this helps.

Looks like Google replaced the Cached pages. Corey, you had shown us in class how to get to a website "time machine" which showed what your site looked like in the past. Can you refresh my memory on what utility you used to get that information.

I also had a question on blogs and forums. I noticed that a lot of keyword links that I have been putting in blogs contain the "nofollow" tag when I examine the source code. Does this mean that I am just waisting my time and should be looking for blog or forum sites that do not have the "nofollow" tags next to my embedded links?

I am very jealous you got to hear Perry Belcher, he is really dead on on many of his testimonies.
It's nice to see someone actually chart a course, or protocol on what, how, and when you should Twitter!
I must ask Corey, how do 'you' feel about Twitter?

Great notes, I plan on using them!
