Online food ordering, takeout, and delivery to Asheville

December 17th, 2006

If you are like my wife and I, you occasionally want some food but don’t want to cook or even get off the sofa. We usually call the local pizza place in Swannanoa that delivers. But if you live in the Asheville area, you have more options…

A friend of mine (Eli Lane) recently sent me a link to Blue Ridge To Go. On that website, you can order food from several local restaurants and they will deliver it right to your door.

I gotta admit, I thought it was too good to be true at first. But here’s what Eli said:

Yes it works real good. I just ordered something yesterday in fact. Others have been using it quite a bit all the way out in Fairview. Usually it’s there within 45 minutes and they have a estimated delivery time when you checkout. When I got my food it was hot!

I’m sure my wife and I will try it soon.

Check out the link at the bottom of the page. It looks like this is some sort of software that anyone could purchase if they are willing to do the work to keep it alive.

Pretty amazing to me.
